Dear Not So Merry People,
As Christmas and 2019 approaches, many  of you are just trying to make it day to day in hopes that the next day will be better. You aren’t thinking of resolutions. You are hurting from feelings of loneliness, feelings of inadequacy because you can’t give gifts or didn’t reach a goal. You maybe grieving from the death of a loved one.
You plaster on a smile, cry in the drive way, and lie when someone ask if you are okay. All for the sake of not being perceived a burden. Hallmark and Netflix Christmas movies are great but not everyone will experience a drastic change or miracle this year.
If you’re not so Merry this Christmas season, I send you light and love. You are a great gift to this world and it’s okay to not be okay.
So this Christmas and New Year, I not only wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you find merriness more often in each day and find a resolution to transform the rest of your life.
Onward and Upward,
Phyllis G. Williams
